My goal as the Williamsville District Councillor is to make sure we have a good solid council endorsed plan for the Memorial Centre that the community can proudly stand behind. Once this the plan is finalized my next goal will be to make sure it comes to fruition so we can protect this site that is so important to us all. Community Consultation for the future of the Memorial Centre is happening on March 23rd from 4pm to 7pm at the Memorial Centre in the Rotunda/Lounge. This will be a focused event to review the Memorial Centre project and share your priorities, ideas and ask questions.
This is one of the upcoming sessions part of a larger multi-site community vision for the Memorial Centre, Portsmouth Olympic Harbour and Centre 70. Sierra Planning and management has been selected as the lead consultant and will work in partnership with MJMA Architecture and Design, and Ingersoll A& Associates Inc.
Important dates regarding the Memorial centre
- March 23rd: Memorial Centre Focused event from 4pm to 7pm at the Memorial Centre.
- March 26th: All venues 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the INVISTA Centre (1350 Gardiners Rd.)
There will also be consultation done with user groups and stake holders.
