I am pleased to support Vincent Cinanni for Kingston City Council.

I have had the opportunity to work alongside Vincent through the Compton Park Community Garden, where I have seen firsthand his commitment to supporting stronger, more connected neighbourhoods. Vincent understands that resilient communities are created when people come together, share ideas, and invest in the places they call home.

What stands out most about Vincent is his willingness to listen. He takes the time to hear from residents, volunteers, and community organizations, and he approaches challenges with thoughtfulness and a genuine desire to make Kingston better for everyone. Whether he is supporting local initiatives, helping neighbours connect, or advocating for community improvements, he shows up and gets involved.

Kingston needs leaders who are engaged, collaborative, and committed to strengthening our city at the grassroots level. Through his work in the Williamsville District, Vincent has demonstrated these qualities time and again.

I am certain Vincent will continue to bring a practical, community-minded perspective to City Council, and I am proud to endorse him.

Councillor Vincent Cinanni has supported my work since 2023 in creating the Compton Park Music Festival, a free, accessible festival that promotes connection and community in the Williamsville neighborhood. Vince also supports our community garden, promotes green transit options, affordable housing, and neighborhood safety. Vincent has always made himself available to me and community members to voice our concerns and readily offers to support our initiatives. For those reasons I wholeheartedly endorse Vincent Cinanni for re-election for City Council.

Vincent Cinanni possesses a trait that is both exceedingly rare and desperately needed in politics: He is motivated not by personal gain or ideological supremacy, but by love for his community, and desire to make it a better place. For four years, this has informed the votes he has cast and the motions he has put forward, and both his District and the City as a whole have been better for it. His thoughtful, caring, and informed approach to Council, in addition to his passion for expanding his understanding of the issues at stake, are why I firmly believe that he should be re-elected in 2026 and beyond..

I have gotten to know Vincent Cinanni through my volunteer work in waste diversion around Kingston. I helped to initiate the reusable dish program at the Memorial Centre Farmers’ Market, where I can be found every Sunday, and where I have often stood next to Vincent as he volunteers his time at the info booth, or stops for a chat. Along with the Market, volunteering at the Skeleton Park Arts Festival, and my research in waste studies at Queen’s have taught me best practices for reducing the amount of landfill waste that is generated by events around town. Vincent was very supportive when I expressed my desire to divert waste at other festivals, and encouraged me to contact event organizers. This led to my collaboration with the RibFest and Craft Beer Festival which also occurs on the Memorial Centre grounds. Last year, I organized a group of volunteers and helped to divert 1.4 tonnes of organic waste at RibFest away from landfill and over to Tomlinson Organics, our local composting facility! I have also diverted waste at ArtFest in City Park for the last 2 years and encouraged the organizers of that festival to create a contract for their food vendors to eliminate plastics and increase compostables in 2027. However, not all event organizers are interested in reducing the landfill waste that their events generate. I have been talking with Vincent about ways that the City could require waste diversion from event organizers prior to them getting permission to host festivals – especially on City property such as the Memorial Centre. I greatly appreciate that Vincent listens to me, continues to encourage the work I do, and is considering putting forward a motion to explore waste diversion at festivals and events (a necessary first step).

My family and I moved to Amherstview in 2020, having never lived in Ontario before. I found ‘my people’ when I joined the Farmers’ Market in 2023. I truly wish that I could vote for Vincent, but since I can’t, I wanted to show my support by writing this endorsement. Vincent listens, encourages, and acts in the best interest of his constituents (as well as others). Thank you!

I’ve come to know Vincent Cinanni through my work with Ukrainian refugees in Kingston, and I’ve seen firsthand his genuine commitment to supporting our community. Vince has been an active advocate for Kingston’s diverse population, and he truly understands the importance of compassion, resilience, and unity — values deeply rooted in Ukrainian culture. He listens with empathy and acts with purpose, always striving to make Kingston a place where every voice is heard and respected. I believe Vince will represent our community with integrity and a heartfelt commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive future for all.

Par la présente, je souhaite exprimer, à titre personnel, mon appui à la réélection de M. Vincent Cinanni au poste de conseiller municipal du district de Williamsville à Kingston.

Dans le cadre de mes fonctions au Réseau de soutien à l’immigration francophone de l’Est de l’Ontario (RSIFEO), j’ai eu le privilège de collaborer avec M. Cinanni à plusieurs reprises lors de discussions communautaires et de consultations portant sur des enjeux municipaux ayant une incidence directe sur la qualité de vie de nos citoyens.

Au fil de ces collaborations, il s’est distingué par son écoute, son engagement et sa volonté de travailler en partenariat avec les organismes communautaires, afin de répondre aux besoins de la population. Son leadership, son accessibilité et son ouverture au dialogue font de lui un représentant engagé envers le développement de son district et de la ville de Kingston.

M. Cinanni est également un allié de longue date de la communauté francophone. À titre de membre du groupe de travail francophone de la Ville, il soutient activement les initiatives visant à améliorer l’accès et l’offre de services en français. Son engagement envers une ville plus inclusive et accueillante contribue au rayonnement de la francophonie et au mieux-être de ses citoyens.

Pour toutes ces raisons, je lui accorde mon appui personnel et je souhaite qu’il puisse poursuivre son excellent travail au service des résidents de Williamsville et de l’ensemble de la communauté de Kingston.

Au cours de son dernier mandat, M. Cinanni a démontré un réel engagement envers la communauté francophone. Sa présence à nos événements, sa représentation du Conseil municipal lors de moments officiels et son soutien au travail du Groupe de travail francophone de la Ville ont été grandement appréciés. Nous avons pu compter sur son écoute, sa présence et son appui. Merci d’être un allié de la francophonie!

Throughout his last term, Councillor Cinanni demonstrated a genuine commitment to the Francophone community. His presence at our events, his representation of Council during official celebrations, and his support for the work of the City’s Francophone Working Group have been greatly appreciated. We have valued his willingness to listen, be present and support our community. Thank you for being a strong ally of the Francophone community!

Vincent Cinanni is one of the hardest working councillors on the Kingston City Council. He is genuine, professional and welcoming in the work he does. As a neighbour, he is concerned about the same things average residents are concerned with, as well as long term planning for our city. He has shown dedication to local issues like housing, safe streets, and healthcare. His passion will continue to make Kingston a better place to live.
